Leech Lake Financial Services To Issue Interest-Free Emergency Loans To Area Small Businesses

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Leech Lake Financial Services was approved by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) as a lender for the Small Business Emergency Loan (SBEL) Program.

This designation allowed LLFS to provide access to interest-free working capital loans for small businesses affected by the economic challenges of the pandemic.

At a time when many local businesses faced uncertainty, the program helped entrepreneurs access critical funding to sustain operations, retain jobs, and continue serving their communities.

The opportunity reflected LLFS’s commitment to supporting small businesses not only through lending, but also through financial coaching, technical assistance, and business development support.

Today, LLFS continues to provide business lending and entrepreneurship support to help businesses throughout the region start, grow, and thrive.
